In its statement on the revision of the SFDR, The German Banking Industry Committee calls for practical, comprehensible and targeted regulation of sustainability-related disclosure obligations in the financial sector. The focus is on three clearly defined product categories - sustainable, transition and ESG-basic - as well as a significant simplification of disclosure requirements. The aim is to enable retail investors in particular to make informed decisions and avoid information overload. The Comment contains concrete proposals for a more effective, comprehensible and innovation-friendly SFDR.
