Andreas Schmitz - new President of the Association of German Banks

24 November 2008 - The Board of Directors of the Association of German Banks decided today that Mr Andreas Schmitz, Chairman of the Management Board of HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt AG, Düsseldorf, will be the next President of the association. Mr Schmitz will assume office on 24 March 2009 and replace Klaus-Peter Müller, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Commerzbank AG, who has been President since March 2005.
